Alpha's version of 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' uses the classic literature tale to create a fun and crazy show. The story follows Quasimodo and his wish to be handsome - if only the Golden Chalice would glow for him! A love story that looks beneath the surface, a villain who is as nasty as they come (you can't help but boo!), hilarious characters taken from Australian panto land and a happy ending worth celebrating, this story has a great theme and is perfect for responsible storytelling for children. Bullying themes are subtle and not preachy, but 'right there' for children to see and feel and make real choices about, especially in terms of behaviour and consequence.
